Hi, we’re Bob and Jane.

We’re avid travelers who own a fine wine and spirits shop in New Orleans. Grande Krewe Abroad has grown out of our passionate pursuit of quality wine, food, and friendship.

Paris is magical, so of course we start here! Flying in and out of the city is easy, but more importantly, this city is the heart of France.
Our experience begins in the 15th arrondissement – a neighborhood touches on the Eiffel Tower and embraces the River Seine. “Our” apartment is on Rue Daniel Stern, and we’ve partnered with the 4 star hotel Mercure Grenelle to host you just 3 blocks away. When you leave your room, it’s 15 steps to a boulangerie (bakery), poissonnerie (fish market), chocolaterie (chocolates), fromagerie (cheese store), and deux (2) wine stores!

We always start the tour on Sunday, giving you the chance to stroll through the Sunday Farmer’s Market like a true Parisian. We also spend the last night of the tour, Saturday night, in Paris, drinking delicious Champagne and telling stories about the week that we just had.
We’re in France 15% of the year, so we’ve made a lot of friends that we cannot wait to introduce you to!
In Paris there is Laurent at the wine store (magasin du vin), Karin at the bakery (boulangerie) and Guillaume at the cheese market (fromagerie). You will taste wonderful bites and sips of French delights that you will never forget.
In wine country, we have the unique privilege to introduce you to the people who own and run some of our favorite wineries and champagne houses. Their passion for the land, the vines, and the wine infuse everything that they do every day.
Valentin of Tribaut Schloesser, Anne-Charloit of Font du Loup and Nathalie of Gosset are family friends. And now you are a part of our family!
One of our favorite things about travel is finding the best food and wine. From petit dejeuners (little breakfasts) to Michelin reviewed dining experiences, we are so excited to let you in in our best kept secrets. We’re confident you’ll enjoy every bite!
We know that traveling with others can be challenging. That’s why we limit the size of each group to 8 people. Transportation is arranged with their favorite chauffeurs, train travel is first class, and dog lovers get to cuddle Deuce and Pearl (the two wine store pugs who love to travel to France).
Every day includes some down time, this is not a marathon!

We plan unforgettable adventures to France

If you want to step off of the airplane in Paris and be pampered, Grande Krewe Abroad is where you want to be! We reserve your rooms at our favorite 5 star hotels in the wine regions. Do you want to arrive in Paris a few days early? No problem. Do you want to take a side trip to Normandy when the tour is over? Let’s work on it together.

Winery visits and tastings will be carefully arranged. Bob serves as the wine guide, educating everyone on the regions and the wines as we go along.You can buy any of the wines and champagnes that you taste and pick them up at Grande Krewe (or have them shipped to you) when you return to the United States! No more worries about shipping costs, delivery issues, or broken bottles.
And the restaurants? OMG. As a former customer Al said, “You should call this the food and wine experience!” From Michelin star tasting menus to cozy neighborhood bistros, we have it all planned – with wine pairings of course.

The only costs that aren’t covered are your airfare, your transportation to and from the airport, and dinner one night (although we will provide recs!).
